How to Read Sinhala Blogs. A-Z Guide

| Comments

This is a Sinhala/English bilingual blog. Sinhala is the language spoken by about 16 million people in Sri Lanka. To view the Sinhala content of this site you need to set up your browser to view Unicode content. If you don’t do this, you will see lots of boxes or question marks on these pages. This is not a problem with the site, it is a problem with your browser.

Enabling your computer to read Sinhala is extremely simple and easy :

In Short

  1. For Windows and Linux please get Sinhala enabling packs from Siyabas website
  2. For Mac OS/X, install this font http://web.nickshanks.com/typography/Or get this third-party Sinhala Unicode pack here.

If you follow the exact instructions there’s nothing to be done :-) Within few minutes you will be ready to read and write Sinhala. (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING!!!!)
